    Why get a scorpio blue instead of a black? I'd just get an ssd anyway, but if you need room that sounds sweet, Just be sure to get the 7200rpm drive, it's sort of quicker.

    Actually if you read the comments on that article, they're saying that the 5400 RPM is just as fast, due to the higher data density. So the high RPM is unneccessary

    oh and I don't think they have the 1TB in black

    I doubt it is as fast as a 750GB Black, but if it is I will probably get one.

    If you're using this for data storage in conjunction with a SSD for OS and programs, 5400RPM is more than sufficient.

    (I don't have my m14x yet) However from experience with other laptops just make sure that the m14x takes 12.5mm Height hard drives ( As I think all but 1 of the 1TB ones are). Regular height is 9.5mm btw, otherwise it won't fit....

    Edit: just read the full post, it's standard height, just I've twice now got 12.5mm drives for 9.5mm laptops lol my bad
