Just found are there are new Drivers available (credit for the find goes to littleone562 from the m18x forums)

    Here is the link:
    Nvidia Beta Drivers 290.53

Official BETA NVIDIA 290.53 Display Driver Feedback Thread For NVIDIA Geforce Desktop/Notebook/ION

doesn't looks like a crucial upgrade as it just updates physx, and fixes the following:

[NVIDIA Control Panel]: After adding a game to the Manage 3D Settings profiles when it was not already detected by the driver, instead of the game name appearing in the profiles list, the path to the game appears.
[GeForce 9800 GTX]: 1080p resolution is not listed in the HD, SD section of the NVIDIA Control Panel Change Resolution page. [848805]
The display driver may send incorrect display timings to the monitor when the refresh ate is set to 60Hz, resulting in poor image quality. [908729/909942]
[GeForce 500 series] [The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim] : There is flickering/corruption in the game when CSAA is enabled. [897301]
[GeForce GTX 5 series][The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim] : The game experiences poor performance when using ultra‐quality shadowing mode. [898733]
[Battlefield 3]: There are triangle artifacts in the game. [877789]
[The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim] : Added Ambient Occlusion to the application profile.
[3DVision] [The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim] Added Skyrim Crosshairs to the NVIDIA
Control Panel‐>Set Up Stereoscopic 3D‐>Change 3D Laser Sight page.

I found the change sheet at Overclockers.com, so it might be just for desktop cards instead of laptop cards idk. I wil try to find out.

Edit: looks like this is a list of all the changes for both laptop and desktop cards.

I click on the link and it said "File not found.", maybe the link is broken? And another thing is that I also have check GeForce Driver page and the latest is the 290.36 Beta (You might have to select those drop down box to match your GPU to see the result). That's weird.

Tested on BF3, and it keep improving the fps, on the 290.36 it allow me to get between 30-45, with this new driver (290.53) it allow me to get even higher, about 35-55 (TDM/SQDM, Rush only), I'll try a CQL map then i'll update it here. However one thing is that, I also notice an increase of heat than usual which is before install the driver it sit between 65C-75C, but after install it increase to between 70C-80C.

Ok, I don't notice any improvements on Skyrim. I'm not going by numbers, I don't have fraps or anything to see the fps, but I don't want to do it that way. I want to notice an improvement and from what I can tell, there isn't a noticeable improvement.

Just want to update my last post. As I said in my last post, the fps seem to increase however the temp also increase but that doesnt mind me until today, I got like 3 BSOD for GPU overheat, and it made me mad. And so I just want to warn you guy that if you dont have a heat issue with the M14x's GPU, then I do not recommend install this driver, but if you do try at your own risk because you dont want to end up with 3 GPU overheat BSOD like me. But I do notice some improvement for Skyrim like improve over the framerate at some area. But since BF3 is my main game, then I'll just stick with the 290.36 atm.

BF3 runs alot prettier for me. Also runs about 2-3 degrees hotter. Doesnt really bother me too much. Cpu's were at 68-72 degrees. I forget what my gpu was at but i dont think it was anything too hott

Nah, that's not your fault, it's NVIDIA's, you're just a messenger and it's their product. Plus since it is a Beta, it is no one's fault because if you read their agreement before you download the driver, they said they have no compensation for accident or BSOD like what happen to me.

Maybe you're not OC it much or did not OC at all because I OC the GPU at a very high clockspeed 800/1600. I think I might want to downclock it back and reinstall the 290.53 to see if it still run hot or not. I'll also update it here again once I have time to test it.
