    hi there

    just bought the m14x r2

for the first 2 days it was the best laptop EVER!

I could play games at highest settings or use as a normal pc a no problems

    BUT

    there is a but,

im having problems with my wifi... i have the killer network on my m14x and, when playing crysis 2 multiplayer, only when playing that game on this pc, my wifi turns off by itlself after 2-3 hours after being connected to it

my router is a huawei... with the netbook and the imac I never had such problems

after installing the dx11 i can't run anymore crysis 2 maxed out also if i disable the option of using the dx11

when I "close" the laptop screen and the open it, my keyboard and my mousepad seems not connected to the pc (wierd)

I can't play games without being connected to the power supply since it lasts for 2-3 minutes and then it shuts down by itself also if there is loads of battery left

    can somebody help me?

Make sure your power settings are set to high.

Look for your network adapter (under device manager), select properties then configure.

Under the Power Management tab make sure the box to "allow computer to turn off this device...." is unchecked.

On the other hand, you can always run Windows 7 System Restore to roll back a couple of days. This may do the trick as it could have been some Windows Updates or some other software modification that created the conflict.

Let us know how it goes!

as for the killer network card, i had the same issue with it. The thing that fixed it for me was not running the program it came with "killer network manager" after i stopped it from running all the time, I have not had any problems with getting random disconnects.

as for all the other things happening I have no clue what could be causing the problem.

I believe you can stop this process through msconfig. Open your start menu, type msconfig and hit [enter]. Under services tab check the box to "hide all microsoft services" and look for a killer card process, apply settings, restart and see if it worked :)

About the System Restore, you should be ok if you just roll back to the earliest possible date, it won't erase any files, it will just uninstall/install programs and change configurations to the way they were before.
