If you're referring to the m14x r2, the previous version was A02. The new version is A03.

That makes no sense. Also where's the fan speed fixes? It's a noisy noisy laptop.

There's no new bios update. This article discusses what got fixed with the last bios update ( a03). An alienware rep confirmed this on the m18x forum.

    Nope.

You install the new one and it overwrites the current one.

Very simple and easy - it only takes a few minutes.

Just make sure you close all applications and have your laptop plugged in the wall during the install.

This is really odd! My laptop shipped with A03 a month ago but...

I suffer from the disappearing audio bug!

Is this A03 a revision and if so surely it should be A04!?!

I updated my m14x r2 from A02 to Bios update A03 and I still suffer from the disappearing audio bug. Any solutions or updates on this disappearing audio issue would be seriously appreciated. Thank you.

If you already flashed your BIOS with the A03 version on our Support Portal (Regardless of the BIOS version your computer had, for instance if you had the A03 version already and flashed it with the one provided), and you're still experiencing problems with your audio; send us an email at AWsocialmedia at dell.com, include your service tag, phone number and the permalink to this thread. We'll contact you shortly and help you sort it out.
