    Hello to all...

Just sold my soul for a new alienware 14 laptop and when using it I have an issue with the left button on the touchpad. It is not working consistently if I am pressing the far left side. I have to press twice or a lot harder the second time. Only if I am pressing it in the middle or to the far right is it working highlighting, moving the cursor correctly. I tried uninstalling, rebooting and playing with all the control panel mouse options to no avail. Any suggestions ? I have gone threw a dozen dell and apple products and have never had an issue like this. kinda bummed when I think how much I paid. Any help is appreciated....

    Thanks

Sounds like a possible problem with the button itself. Call Alienware support (NOT Dell support)

My left touchpad button does something similar. Looking carefully on mine, the lower left corner of the button has a little wiggle and will sometimes gets caught on the casing around the button (so it doesn't disengage completely). I don't know if that's what's happening with yours but the button has some wiggle room though so you might want to try pressing the button and shift it around to see if it helps.
