    Hi All,

Got my M14 yesterday, anyway I have been out of PC gaming for years. Due to this I'm a little rusty with the latest technology and overclocking etc which I used to do about 5 years ago.
Whats the best overclocking software for the GPU these days ? Also I downloaded a demo of Empire Total War and the auto select settions was defaulting it to Low. I wasnt expecting that at all, having read the forum the past week or so I have checked in the Nvidia control panel and put in that it should use the GT 555 and not the intergrated GPU. Any ideas how I can improve this, surely this machine is better than that, and I'm just being an idiot.

Cheers All, look forward to getting to know you guys

Try putting the settings to high and see how the computer handles it. If the fan kicks in and the graphics look awesome, it's working :p My settings in Crysis didn't default to high, but I set them all to high and it worked without a problem.

i'm guessing you already re-ran the auto settings after whitelisting the game? how does the fan sound when you start up the game?

The fan wasn't going crazy to be honest. I ramped up all the settings on medium, and it ran perfectly fine. To be honest I can live with it as its a strategy. I just tried Divinity 2 and that looks great with all the settings on high.
I was just surprised as its a 2009 game.
Cheers both for your help, appreciated.

Ah you can try updating the drivers as well...that has helped a few people on here with different games that have been causing problems.
