So i just got my Alienware today on the mail, Was surprised since i had problems with the tracking number and apparently they refunded me all the money back to my banking account ( But still got the laptop, weird) Anywho.. I was wondering if there is any input on improving performance , starting time , and upgrades. Is there any programs i should stop from starting up? I would appreciate all input here.

My specs: Intel core i7 2670QM cpu @ 2.20 Ghz

4.00 GB at 1600 mhz (Figured i would buy the Kingston Hyper X on my own later.

900p screen and Upgraded wireless, Nebula red. Also the 1.5 GPU

What I've done is stoped like 3/4 of the msconfig start up menu and that has helped my start up time. Just stop everything but the ff protection, mouse, windows os, intel graphcs, alienware on screen display, and something called required application. And yes, i removed the reatek application, takes up a lot of cpu usage for me.

Are those beta drivers? Or official drivers, I'll download them and compare performance on whatever i have installed at the moment ( which is not alot lol)
Also, what program do you recommend i use for overclocking on the laptop and any safe and good clocks ?

If you want to do a little more Tweaking you could dl Game Booster, it helps turn off unessacry background programs when you play games.
