Hi guys,
In one of the ongoing threads in this forum, instructions have been given to extract and install the NVIDIA 280.28 driver from www.laptopvideo2go.com with a replaced nv_disp.inf file to make the Optimus switching work with the updated driver.
I have just installed the driver on my M14x. I found out that 280.26 version is the most used version instead of the above 280.28. Even NVIDIA doesn't give the option of downloading this driver from their website. However, the 280.28 version for Windows 7 (64 bit) is also WHQL Certified.
Can any of you guys let me know if any of you have faced any issues with the 280.28 version and which version of the driver should be used out of the above 2 drivers.
In case, the 280.26 version is better suited, instructions on how to install this version of driver for Optimus switching will also be appriciated.
Thanks in advance.

Did you know that there's a new version available? It's in beta though. And it doesn't need a modified inf file.

My M14x was shipped with the old stock driver 267.XX and i wanted to update it to the latest WHQL certified driver so that i can play games more smoothly. I just wanted to know which one is the better driver out of 280.26 & 280.28 versions to avoid any futures issues with my M14x. -
im the 280.26 drivers. no probs at all yet. played most games crysis, deus ex not tried witcher 2 yet though

Does this mean I can download this and not need the modded .inf file? If not, then can you please tell me where to place the modded .inf file? -
