This is my possible m14x, have a look and see what you think:

    I7 2630M
    6GB Ram
    1.5G 555M graphics card
    500GB hard drive
    1600 x 900 Screen

But do I get the Dell 1000 or Intel wireless card at added cost?????? Dell support was no help on that one lol.

I don't need bluetooth so didnt bother adding it.

How does that spec look? Just need help on the wireless adaptor.

I would definitely recommend getting the 6205 wireless card. If you are interested in Wi-Max then get the 6250.

It's only another £10.00 (business rates) is it really worth it. I dont mind the extra cost as long as its better.

I have a g router at work and a wireless n at home. Will the intel card work fine with both?

I blindly upgraded mine to the intel, since then ive seen a few reviews on here saying that the intel cards are realy good and far less fussy at conecting to networks compared to the dell and other cards.

Drop your RAM to 4GB, if you want more RAM get it aftermarket as it'll be cheaper.

Also the standard wifi card does not support 802.11a from another thread here, so I would upgrade it.

With regards to the battery problem (I know there is a is a thread but its very long to read thru whilst at work lol) does it only happen when the gpu is maxed out?

Would the system still game on default settings using battery?

90% of the time I would be near a power point, but just would like to know before ordering.

    Cheers
