And that's why people recommend getting the advanced warranty which covers accidental damage. If you don't have that warranty, and something were damaged, you could be seriously SOL.

It just parks the hard drive's read/write head so it doesn't damage the platters.

Check these things : Sound ( both speakers + sub ), wifi, discrete graphic card, every keyboard key, touchpad, optical drive, bluetooth, every ports.

If all these things work ( I don't think I forgot anything ), just kiss you m14x and offer it something nice for being such a tough computer :)

    Lol? Are you being serious?
Grow up, your acting like a prepubescent child.

If there is no visible scratch, dents, or any type of dings what are you worrying about? If you turned on the laptop and it was fully functional and operable than what do you expect us to do? Mope for you?

I'm not "YOU TROLLIN BRAH?" But come on, is it really necessary to start a thread over this?

You really are a prepubescent child.
Yes, its ruined. The motherboard came loose and now you must buy a new one.
How do we know? Your not giving us enough information to determine anything other than that its been dropped, what kind of protection it was in at the time, and your gasps and shrieks. But yeah, its definitely "ruiner" now.

hmm, by the sound it made when it fell, i think the second screw on the left underside of the motherboard, by the GPU, is loose, and the 1 fan is now off kilter a little!

    *sorry couldnt resist*
