Its quite annoying. It won't be green, or red. Only dark blue..If I set it to green it doesn't work

I had an issue with my CAPS lock + Wifi light area too, except mine wouldn't even turn on for any colors. Turns out Dell forgot to plug in the indicator light cable into the motherboard when they built my M14x.

For your case, the cable might be loose or the indicator light board may be faulty (apparently its an actual mini-board + cable). The part numbers Dell sent me are:

    Part Number Quantity Description
    RD54C 00001 ASSEMBLY...,PRINTED WIRING ASSY...,INDICATOR...,ANW,M14X

    8WH0V 00001 ASSEMBLY...,PRINTED WIRING ASSY...,FRT LT,RIGHT...,ANW,M14X

You could also try opening up your M14x to check the cable yourself if you want, but it is a bit of a pain in the rear to get to the indicator board:

    Documentation

Basically you want to follow the "Removing the Palm-rest Assembly" instructions from steps 1 to 7 and then check if indicator board cable is seated tightly. Honestly it may be better to just call Dell to have a tech check it out if you don't want to risk breaking any plastic tabs/parts.
