I just bought a 256gb 830 SSD. I'm trying to copy to the SSD by using the included Norton Ghost and usb cable. Problem is I cant seem to figure out how to copy the various different partitions. First I tried just copying the "c" partition and setting it to MBR. Next I tried the "DellUtility" partition and setting that to MBR and then copying the "c" partition without setting it as MBR.
Anybody been though this before and can tell me how to go at it?

You DO NOT want to clone a HDD to a SSD it can cause problems, reinstall windows from scratch.

Agreed, I did the same fresh install for my ssd. Cloning an ssd to an ssd is safe, but never hdd to ssd. I read a while back about how the hdd starts writing data at a slightly different point than the ssd, so it'll lead to drive that's not aligned right.

Yeah i actually was in the same boat as you 2 weeks ago when i bought mine and for some reason the norton ghost that comes with it doesnt seem to work well with cloning through usb. Could have been a solution I was overlooking as well but you do want to complete a fresh install though because i cloned with acronis and was having some speed issues.
