i always skype my girlfriend, and recently she could not understand anything i said. i turned up the microphone to max, noise supression, and it still doesnt help. i recorded myself with the webcam and mic and it still happens. When i say "can you hear me?" it sounds like "uh uh eah eee?" it sounds like my voice is very background-y if you know what i mean. please help!

Test the mic in other programs and be sure it isn't just happening within Skype. Are the fans running when you're Skyping? The mic may be picking up the fan noise. It's generally recommended to get a separate mic for things like Skype to avoid that sort of feedback. This can be annoying for users who want to walk around and be mobile while video chatting but there are wireless headsets for that as well. You can also try updating your audio drivers. If it is indeed the fans and you don't want to get a separate headset, try controlling the fans with software but be sure to monitor your temperature when doing this.
