As the search function is still incredibly frustrating and i could not find what i was looking for can anyone tell me if they have been able to run mass effect 1 well?i have not purchased as yet but i know some older games have trouble working in windows 7 due to compatibility issues and as this game is a few years old i would like some input before i buy regarding the compatibility and performance(which i would expect to be pushing ultra really)
    Thanks in advance

I have ME1 working with no issues at all. I think I may have had some compatability issues to start off with but a google search (I think) found me something to sort it out.

It all runs flawlessly on ultra.

What was your problem and the solution?

I run it on almost ultra, but there's a setting I need to bring down to avoid certain slowdowns, most notably the map animation.

TBH, I cannot remember. I know that it wouldn't run when I first tried to start it. But that was remedied very quickly and it now runs with absolutely no problems.

runs fine on my machine after i tweaked the settings. I'm sure even the igpu could handle it. :)
