My M14xR2 is pretty much stock, but with 8GB RAM, i7 3rd gen @ 2.4GHz and I was playing Crysis 3 on Medium settings and my CPU temps were all around 85C and spiking to about 92C, I was wondering if those are decent temps, if I have a heat problem, and how my M14xR2 would handle Very High graphics? I would appreciate some advice/opinion on the matter, as I have had heat issues previously. I know that Crysis 3 can tear up a computer, and I'm kind of worried. Thanks, time4bengals.

Well I get temps up to 100 degrees celsius on my alienware m14x R1 playing League of Legends on all low settings.... So i'd say your temps are fine. You'll eventually want to clean out your fans, and re-paste your laptop. Intel allows degrees up to 105.

Make sure it's not sitting flat on a table, using a laptop cooler or even just propping the rear up a little can significantly drop temps

You should consider re-pasting any component that gets above 90C under load, also look for clogs near the vents and clear them if there's any to make sure the air flow is good.

If the laptop is in warranty send me a PM and I'll have a tech fix it for you.

Besides what my partner suggests you can also try running the fans manually, I've seen some games that won't play well with the auto fans (use HWinfo)
