Does the touchpad have multitouch functions? I don't even seem to be able to scroll webpages with it...do I have to turn something on?

Yes you have something to turn on in control panel, I saw it on a M14x review.

thanks...can anyone tell me how to turn it on?

I remember clicking the synaptics panel but don't remember seeing an option for turning it on or off

download the latest Synaptic drivers/software and it is enabled right off the bat and works a little better as well.
