I wonder shall change my laptop and buy asus g75? Because 650m is not a good graphics card? I dont like to play games all in medium... i bought it for 2100 dollars so shall i changed i mean shall i sell it and get a asus or a razor?

Also guys am i need to make nvidia panel for high performance PROCESSOR so that i get best image and performance>

The GTX660m in ASUS is just as good as the GT650m in the Alienware M14x...

Well not exactly. The GTX660m is slightly better and the fact the bigger Asus Laptop has proper cooling let it run at max performance without any tweaking needed compared to the M14x.

The difference is performance vs portability. If you want a big fat Gaming Laptop go for the Asus. If you want the smallest nearly as high performance Laptop keep the M14x R2.

The GTX660M isn't going to be much better than the M14x. If you want something with much more graphics punch you're going to want at least the GTX670M or GTX675M, a HD7970M or GTX680M. In which case I'd... honestly recommend you go for a Clevo P150EM based machine, such as a Sager NP9150. You can quite likely get a very powerful machine specced with a HD7970M for $2000.

That depends. Do you need the portability of an m14x at all? Because the GT650M is a bit slower than the GTX660M. It is still class 1, so it's very good. I can play most games on high-ultra with the exception of Guild Wars 2. Remember that the ASUS G55/G75 does not have Optimus, so the battery life will suck.

With $2100 you can get a laptop with a much better GPU. I know MSI has some laptops with a GTX 680M for the same price. The smallest is 15.6 inches though which is bigger then the 14inch Mx14. MSI Notebook Official Website

You can also get some configs from Origin with a GTX675 at least for $2000 as well but the smallest is still in the 15.6in range. In the end if you want something above a 650M you have to go to 15.6 inch at least. ORIGIN PC | High-Performance Custom Gaming PCs, Laptops, or Professional Workstations

It's all about performance vs. portability. 650m is pretty decent though. If you are just as happy with a GTX 660m you can go as low as $1000 for an i7 processor and a GTX 660m GPU on a 15.6in Lenovo Y580 with a FHD screen. IdeaPad Y580 15.6" Laptop | Shop | Lenovo | (US)

That msi is 17inches so at least yours is more portable. Plus you get some nice keyboard lights, Alienware boasts that it is the most customizable.

But the msi looks like crap - visually and structurally looks very cheap.

It's a good laptop, but the value is somewhat questionable. I wouldn't have even considered one if I hadn't gotten such a good deal, making it impossible to pass up.

Yes you may have been able to get a laptop a few hundred cheaper with a better card, etc. But in my opinion the alienware price vs the other laptop prices is totally worth it. Like I said, you could have gotten a few higher specs, but do you care how your laptop looks? I got an exchange for a brand new R2 and could have sold it for a better sager or something, but honestly... those laptops looks like .

If I'm going to shell out this amount of money for anything, It should satisfy on more than just performance. So would you rather have something that's a little more budget performance friendly? Or something that you really enjoy the way it looks, the extras, and if anything happens you have a solid warranty. If not just sell it once you get it :)

Yea, (no hate to you guys who own these laptops) but I feel like Alienware is a bit overpriced for what they offer.

Go to www.xoticpc.com -> gaming laptops -> Sager NP9150.It is very cheap and gives you the option to add a custom heatsink and remove sager branding or make how your laptop will look.

Get the 7970m with i7 2720qm,750GB Momentus Seagate Hybrid,Intel Ultimate N,Full Size back aluminium notebook cooler and premium packaging.

Because you have the extra heatsink, you can ultraclock and even at stock clocks you can play bf3 with everything at ultra at 60 FPS.

I would actually like to see alienware start using smoother design touches. the front edge of the 14x digs into your flesh if you work with it on your lap in certain positions. i love how it looks from the sides, top, and open, but the front edge is just dum. useless lights (when they could maybe engineer working cooling vents?) and those useless ridges and layers of plastic. I think the front edge assembly is what creaks sometimes, too. Pretty cheap and lame IMO.

Oh yes xoticpc is very good too. With 2000 dollars you can get a really great machine.

I bought my m18x for the crossfire performance and the warranty you can get with the machine. My duel 7970 run amazingly well and I'm very happy with it. And my 4 year extended warranty with accidental damage cover AND same day engineer call out. I can overclock the out of it without worries!

Yea Alienware charge so much for their machines and I would not buy a desktop from them but for quality laptops you can't get better.
