JUST got my m14x half an hour ago :D

The m14x's power supply is in two parts as all owners know - one part is the wall socket plug, which then connects to the power supply "brick".

I live in the UK so I need a 3 pin wall plug. I have one of these for another laptop and the brick end connection is compatible. Can I swap them over?

I don't see why not. That portion is just the plug.

I tried it and it is fine. The brick has an input range of 100-240 volts AC. I don't think the plug portion even has any regulating circuits in it, just conductors and a fuse.
