Hi everyone. Having a problem where I updated the drivers for the integrated vidcard and now it doesn't detect the nvidia hardware. I tried uninstalling the nvidia drivers and installing the latest drivers but it still does not detect the hardware.

    PLEASE HELP!

When you say it doesn't detect the hardware, have you tried running a game first?
Sometimes the nVIDIA GPU doesn't come active at all if nothing that would use it is running.

Also the latest stable driver by nvidia does not detect some newer GPU's. You must use the Nvidia 304.79 beta drivers or the ones on the Dell website. I recommend the beta one available here

Thanks for the link to that beta driver. Everything is running very very smooth now and just ran Diablo 3 and looks better than ever.

    Thank you so much !

    Hi,

    I have the same problem.
    M14x
Optimus tech: 555M 3GB (not detected)
    Intel 3000HD
Also when I try to update with the latest version(301), the installer says the graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware. Also BSOD also comes now randomly. I had installed Max payne 3 and COD Modern warfare 1 yesterday. It started happenning after that. I restored by system to 2 weeks ago, but still cant see nvidida graphics.

I have dual booting win 7, i also tried with the 2nd windows which I only use for backup and checking in case 1 fails. In the 2nd windows also, I could not update the latest version.

    Is this a HW issue.

Although the 301 drivers are the latest stable drivers, they will not work with some of the newer GPU's. As stated above, I recommend you install the beta driver. The newest was released today - link is here. I'm about to try this new release now
