EDIT: Just saw it's up again and everythings exactly the same price upgrades and all,has to be a problem with dell offering the new nvidia 580s in the bigger lappy's.

It might just be another error.

Just yesterday there was a problem where they said there was a gtx580 inside the m14x, but they fixed that. they might just be checking for more typos.

If you still want to configure your m14x there is a great deal right now on there featured discounts. Takes off 110 and you can still customize everything you want and you get 6GB of RAM and don't have to get the stupid 3.0GB gt555m.

    Alienware Deals

I think they might be changing the m14x. there have been a lot of complaints. I have been waiting for 3.5 months to get this laptop, and i was gona buy this weekend...guess i'll just wait some more.

Yeah, according to my Dell rep, it is a problem on the site. The M14x is available and still will be in its current version.

It maybe an error or website glitch, because Dell is also known for the website glitch, but if it is true  I'd demand to return my M14x which just receive a few days ago and re-order that new one.

EDIT: I also have a check on the NZ/AU site, it still there so maybe a website error/glitch, :)

    Perhaps just speculating

Even though, I would love to hear some rumors about M14X R2, if there are any.

No it's not...maybe you didn't start customising from the base config?

I work at a large retailer,I can't say which one.Not being jerky just had been told before not to say name on forum, for whatever it's worth, I asked before I posted this, a buyer in NYC who buys Dells by the tens of thousands at a time, and he ultimately helped resolve my issues when no one else could. So he said, and mind you it's all speculation as there are no confirmed reports on M14X r2. Dell want's to make a profit.Period! They may have a refresh before intels 22nm fab Ivy bridge, otherwise he said the refresh will be on a timeline of 6 or more months from R1 release at minimum.I am not saying anythings not possible, but m14s are selling well.As even TG has the base config and BB also.So it doesn't make fiscal sense to refresh after 2 months, and he was told by the sellers that 5 to 6 months or Ivy bridge refresh is definite.Atleast at the moment. So take a deep breath every one I think some one's playin.LOL.Everybody goes nuts so fast on here, look what happened when the site went down or showed the 580gtx error. We can chill out R2 is not even close.I have heard about the Ipod 3 though, and new iphone is definitely coming in a couple months our buyer ordered a ton and we even started a sku today.

Yeah, I notice that. I've only been around here a little while and see that things can get blown out of proportion quickly. I think I'll take speculative information with a grain of salt.
