    M14x ghz wont go down?

    i started notice that my ghz stays at 2.7 - 2.8 the whole time for the past 2 days. when it usually goes down to 2.3 and goes back up whenever i put it in a heavy use. even when i put it on powersaver mode it didn't help. This makes my temp goes up around 60 - 70c just from browsing on youtube.

    please help asap

    Is intel speedstep technology enabled in your bios?
    also try disabling intel turbo boost from the bios.

    post again if you notice any changes.

    it was enable but now i disable it. stays at 2.3 temp is 51 - 55 c

    This happened to me. Something is taking up your cpu power. For me it was the realtek driver. Went to the msconfig menu (start menu search bar). went to start up, and disabled the realtek driver. Let me know if that works. Oh, restart after you disable it. In the msconfig start up menu, its called rk something 64 or something.
