Is there a way to force the laptop to run at full speed even when unplugged?

    Thank you!

Yes you can but you might have to downgrade to the BIOS A01 where it will not be downclock the GPU so then you'll have full power while on battery, however this would make the laptop's battery die in less than 45mins, because of the immerse load of energy demand from both the CPU and the GPU. That's why they patch that problem in the A03 BIOS. However you can also run it using any other BIOS version beside the A01, but the GPU will be downclock even you have the game run on GT555M.

I dont see why you would like to game without plugging in, The battery would run out too fast while playing at full performance on battery.

Not everyone has the same like. Some people they like to enjoy full potential of the game while knowing that having the GPU to run on the battery will quickly drain the power out of it, rather than having to lag like hell all the way.

As for me I'd choose the option to run at full power on battery too, because I value performance and quality over it, even though I know the battery would last less than 30mins, but it'll worth the play than the lowest setting yet the game is unplayable.

And if you didnt read Mudig's post, sometime that also apply to me as well, as there are some people would not believe until they see with their eyes.

Just to add to the convo a bit, I get about 4 hours of gaming on the IGP (Skyrim, low settings, 1366x768, medium textures)
