    Hi everyone,

I received my M14x 2-3 weeks ago. I love it very much, but I've noticed that sometimes when it sits idle for a while (as I leave it on while I'm, say, cooking dinner), I'll come back to find that it's crashed with the following message in DOS:

    "Intel UNDI, PXE-2.0 (build 083)
    Copyright (C) 1997-2000 Intel Corporation

For Atheros PCIE Ethernet Controller v2.0.2.6(09/28/10)

    Check cable connection!
    PXE-MOF: Exiting Intel PXE ROM.
No bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key"

Turning the computer off and back on fixes the problem. I don't have an SSD, just the normal hard drive. This never happens while I'm playing a game, or using Firefox, or anything - so far, only when the computer's idle. It also doesn't always happen when the computer is idle, only sometimes, and I haven't yet ascertained any pattern (except that it only happens when it's idle). Does anyone know what this might be? Is there any sort of a quick fix or should I call Dell? I'm a bit loathe to reformat my hard drive and reinstall Windows, but I'll try it if people think it'll work.

I'd call dell and get it replaced. A new laptop should run perfectly, especially for the price you're paying for an Alienware. Any deviation from that is grounds for a replacement / free repair.

Yeah, it's not a big deal, but it would be nice not to have to deal with. :)
