Heard something rattling around inside my laptop. When I took it apart to repaste the heat sink, I found a rectangle cap. that looks similar to this:

    Tantalum Capacitors - Google Search

    The black one.

    It says

    330
    15VP9e

Sooo......... what should i do ?

Yeah it bothers me and I have looked. Cannot see anything that sticks out. Unforgettably there are many areas it could go...... its a clean break as well :( I think i'm just kind of screwed here and will just have to run it as is. I just don't know what its doing to my performance..... Its not there for extra parts!

have you tried contacting support? Compasitors aren't supposed to just "fall off". :p

We could send it in to take a look at it. Send me a PM if you would like to do that.

I would certainly have it looked at, it might be ok, but the wrong part will mean something could now be stressed way beyond where it should be and it could die pretty fast.
