So I just got my M14x a few days ago and I installed a GeForce 310.70 driver update through the Nvidia control panel. Now when I log in to my windows account, the screen will flicker for a few seconds and kick me out to the startup screen. Anyone else have the same problem? My laptop came with the A09 BIOS if it matters.

That's odd, I'd try doing a clean install first see if that fixes the problem. I wonder if there's any performance increase with the new nVidia 310.70 drivers?

I actually restored the computer to factory settings and did the update again but the same thing occurred. The Nvidia control panel prompted an update and this was the result. Not sure what to do if I can't even update to the latest display drivers.

Dont do the factory settings. I recommend you boot your PC with a windows 7 CD, delete your existing partitions then make a whole new one.

yup just got mine too. did it the first time and same thing happened. its windows. update your os. this took around a day to do as it comes in parts so just keep pressing check for updates till there are no more, after that install the driver. it should work now. but just incase create a restore point before you try it again
