I just got a agility 3 as a gift from family and it is a 120gb drive for 159$ ...my family is giving me the option for m4 120gb for 220$ but I know it will be a stretch for them ...so I don't wanna go thr unless the agility 3 is really bad...also could someone guide me on the right caddy to purchase for my drive (existing hdd) and steps on how it should be done smoothly . THANKS

My agility3 died in one day. Also it was slow and laggy.

Changed to Vertex 3 which didn't die, and was fast..... but lagged at random times. Fixed the issue by changing registry to disable Intel power management and now nothing's been wrong for a while.

The is a new firmware for the Vertex 3, try that and see if it fixes the freezing problem?

First thing I found out after checking forums on why my Agility3 died was that OCZ drives are unstable.

With the Vertex3 I immediate flashed the newest firmware 2.11 before installing windows - to ensure the 'best' stability. Many people on forums still complained that it doesn't solve anything but at least my Vertex3 is still alive (2 weeks).

I get freezing regardless of firmware, found a registry fix intended for Crucial SSD that other's have found cured their Vertex3 also so I implemented it (pretty much just disabling Intel's TPM). No hangs so far.... we will see....

Apologies if my words ...sound harsh...but the agility 3 is a crappy drive...got 6 BSOD in 1 Hour....so i came back to my original drive...i dont think i`ll be using a ssd now....til the time i am sure..which one i need to go for !!Thanks for your help...but one things for sure...never gonna buy a OCZ product again

And now i am back to my original drive...and my machine works like a beast :D Also the write speeds on my current HDD are much better than the agility 3 ..i was getting 11 Mb/s on the A3 as compared to the stock where am getting 83 Mb/s....read speeds for the A3 were mcuh better ...390 MB/s as compared to 89.41MB/s on my stock drive

Got and M14x refurb for 1300.00 out the door and called back and asked for a discount before it arrived and they knocked off 90 bucks more. I7/ 3GB GPU. Just bought a Corsair F240 SSD on Tigersdirect. 259.00. 240GB's. Couldn't pass up on the price. I bought the caddy for my 2nd drive and I got a samsung 1tb drive. It's 9.5mm and should fit. I just want to know if anyone has any experience with this SSD drive. I have 30 days to return it after it arrives. I've read ok reviews but in general what i've read is that ssd drives don't seem to work as flawlessly as hdd's. My ssd should arrive tomorrow. Any experience? Advice? Thanks. I'm new to the forum. Also, should I be able to clone my existing drive to the ssd if I put the ssd in a usb enclosure using Acronis True Image Home with no problem?
