I just have a few questions for everyone who has upgraded their M14x R2 or R1 to Windows 8. I had a few driver related issues but I have it all sorted out now I think. Everything seems to be working but my fan seems to be running much more often and the laptop seems to be warmer. This is also causing a reduction in battery life. I have had a few problems with some games but nothing a few Google searches couldn't fix. Overall I am quite happy with the results of Windows 8 on my laptop and it is quite fast even with an HDD. Anyone else had any specific problems?

    Hello Matt,

There shouldn't be any problems with drivers on the R2, which video driver are you running?

I have a problem with my WEI sucking at 5.9 :( It refuses to uses the NVidia card for the evaluation. I also didn't find a driver for HD free fall sensor.

i agree for some reason the allocation of total memory does not show up on wei even though nvidia graphics are activated globally. I find that dxdiag shows exactly the amount of memory allocated for the video card.. anyone know why this happens?

in windows 7 i used to get 7.1 on graphics and now that i upgraded to windows 8 i get 6.9 :D
