    M14x R2 questions regarding gpu and gaming on battery

    Hello guys, just want to get 2 things cleared up, is the gt 650m on the m14x the gddr5 version or the dd3?

    Does the m14x r2 throttles when not plugged in? I remember in m11x it does not and you still get max performance and frames per sec on games even on battery. Did m14x R1 throttled?

    It's the gddr5 version. I don't believe it throttles when you aren't plugged in (not 100% sure). You won't get very good battery life though if you're gaming.

    I agree with T8TRG8TR, It shouldn't throttle, at least I haven't heard of anyone having that issue.
