    Hey,

i've got my new m14x r2 on monday and after unboxing i directly did a fresh install of windows 7 (because i like to check what drivers are installed and what processes are running, hate the crap that dell preinstalls on the systems -.-)

After i installed newest Intel Management Engine Interface Driver (directly from intels driver page), my stops to shut down correctly :/
The Display goes black, but the keyboard and all the flashing lights and fans stay on.
I need to press and hold the power button to power off.
    Any1 else got this problem?
Do i need to take the older dell driver?

Are you sure the shutdown button on the start menu is really shutdown and not sleep?

    I'm sure!

If the driver isn't installed, everything is perfect.

Any news for this topic? It happens for me and other users as well (with or withoug IME - no difference).

Have you tried reflashing or updating the bios that sorted the problem for me you dont even need that driver it does nothing for you, IMEI is one component of Intel's VPRO remote access technology, so unless your connecting remotly you dont need it.
