    1.) disconnect laptop fans
2.) buy big fan from wal-mart
3.) face fan behind laptop near the vents
    4.) ....profit?
You are now able to control fan speed and use, problem solved.

Jeez, can we get these forums fixed already?

Long story short, fans are running full, 15 minutes after I've finished playing. They are blowing cold air... Anyone else having this, and any thoughts?

Changed the power profile to balanced (fans finally stopped) then back to high performance. Problem fixed for now, but I'd like to not have this problem at all...

    EDIT:
    Anyone have some non-annoying input?

I'm assuming if it's a driver issue, but no one else seems to have mentioned it.

Ok, this is seriously starting to drive me nuts. Restarting fixes the fans, but as soon as I do anything intensive, the fans keep going indefinitely until I restart again. I have made a power plan that specifies passive cooling, but that isn't helping me at all. Please help :(

    Hi,
I have discovered that my M14x R2 does the same sometimes aswell after a Gaming period.

Have you found any solution to this problem?

Not yet, and it's really starting to tick me off. Please, anyone have any ideas?

I figured out that at the very least, I can just put it to sleep then wake it back up, as opposed to restarting it completely, to fix it.

Yeah, I have noticed that aswell.

Just as an example, I left my comp. running after i had played for around twenty minutes.

After i had closed the game, I went for an hour away from the computer. when i came back, the fans where still running despite the low overall temp.

" Highest value noted where 44c on one of the cores. the lowest temp where 30c. "

Hmm, im not sure what this means.

Thanks for all your help if you know some tricks!

My fan also does this, but opening SpeedFan brings it back to normal. I haven't tested simply running SpeedFan all the time yet, but it might solve the problem.

    Ahh, thanks for your response!
I have tried to investigate the problem some more and I do have and theory that the problem is related to just some games.
    WoW being one of them.

What games do you guys play? have you notice it on several games?

    Thanks!

Well, it seems like the good thing is that we are several with this problem. So hopefully it is a software issue and not a hardware problem :)

If anyone else that reads this also have this problem, please report! :)
Hopefully some have a solution for the problem aswell!
