Hello NBR members! I've been browsing this forum for quite a while and decided to join the fray when I purchased my m14x today. My Macbook Pro decided to die this past memorial weekend and I was in search of a laptop desperately before my upcoming internship with Amazon.com in the next 4 days. :p

After much negotiation on the phone and what not for the past 2 days. I managed to get the m14x base model at i7 2630, 4GB of RAM, 1.5GB nvidia with 900p, Bluetooth, 6250 wifi for a grand total of $1236.36.

Is this a reasonable price for the specs I currently got on the computer? I tried to purchase it through AAFES but the deal has dropped to 5% and I also tried to purchase through using the Farmer's discount but that expired already.

Nevertheless I hope I didn't overpay too much for this seeing how I've read that some members got the same specs for around 1100ish.

I think it's a good price if it is the grand total of 1236$.

Yes Tsukurimashou, that is the grand total out the door. Shipping and tax including (no tax seeing how I'm shipping this to NH).

Just your normal sales approach, kinda treated this m14x like buying a car. Told them about competitive laptops like the Asus, HP Envy, etc and just basically opening them up for negotiation.

    That is unfortunate :(

I guess I can consider myself lucky for my Amazon internship, other wise I would have to ship it to Florida and the tax would have tacked on another 100 ish.
