So after reading several discussions regarding Kingston HyperX 1866 8GB ram I decided to try it on my m14x.

    Newegg.com - Kingston HyperX 8GB (2 x 4GB) 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1866 HyperX Plug n Play Laptop Memory Model KHX1866C11S3P1K2/8G

    (Bought it from Newegg)

Alot of people claimed that the ram wouldnt run at 1866.

Well I installed it and it automatically ran the ram at 1866 so way to go kingston.

I was more curious about my benchmark on 3D Mark 06... my original score was 14500+ with a mild overclock of the GPU... after the ram upgrade my score went down to 13800, I cant even play crysis on high settings now.

Iam currently dumbfounded and would like everyones input on why this is happening. Could it be the ram is defective or a BIOs setting?
