I am new to the threads but couldn't find any information on this issue. Last night my keyboard randomly quit working on my m14x. I turned the computer off and it wouldn't turn back on. No power, no lights, nothing. If I disconnect the keyboard the computer boots just fine and I'm using an external keyboard right now. I can unplug all power, plug the keyboard in, the computer will boot once, keyboard still not working, and when I turn the computer off it won't turn on again until I unplug and plug the keyboard back in. Obviously the keyboarding is shorting something out. Nothing was spilled on it or anything like that. Aside from purchasing a new keyboard is there anything to try? Thanks for any input.

What kind of keyboard are you using?
Are the drivers properly installed? -

Purchased a new keyboard from Dell Laptop Parts | Dell Parts | Dell Laptop Repair | Dell Repair. Was $37 for a grade B and it looks brand new. Also works great! Thanks for all the input guys.
