When ever I have my USB HDDs plugged in my M14x will not start. I have to unplug the USB cable and wait for windows to boot before I can plug it in. I have looked in the BIOS and I do not see anything about excluding devices or items from Boot. My Dad has Sentia and it has the option to exclude from boot. Anyone know a way to fix this?

in BIOS, there go to boot menu and change the order of boot. make it in this order : HDD> DVD DRIVE> USB . press F10 and reboot. if this doesnt work, while the splash screen is displayed during boot, press F12 and select DVD drive from there.

Tried that but, you are missing what I am asking. I don't want to boot to the optical drive. I want to be able to boot my computer normally with my usb HDDs plugged in. I called Dell and they told me to disable USB emulation. I did that. It will start up now but it takes about 5 mins with everything plugged in. I just wish I had an exclude from boot option.

@CaptainMotorcycle. Hey, My name is Luis and I work for Alienware, Sorry about the inconvenience but unfortunately there is no option in the BIOS to change that option, you will need to disconnect them when you turn on the computer and then connect them when you are into Windows or need it, the reason is that the BIOS Boot options change everytime you connect or disconnect them and it makes the boot process fail.
