My m14x keeps giving me HDMI issues, when I plugged it into my LCD with HDMI I got weird colour problems appearing on the screen and when plugged into my monitor HDMI/DVI my screen would flicker and also have colour issues whenever black was introduced on the screen.

I am getting weird scan lines of the colours red and green whenever there is blank screen. I plugged it in through VGA and the problem does not persist.

Anyone else have this problem? Is my HDMI burnt out or is that just a digital signal problem?

I use HDMI on mine every day for gaming and work. I had it setup as extended and did see it jump when I would die in BF3. Now I game with just the HDMI and have the laptop screen shut off.

Do you have them both on? if so have it shut off the laptop screen see what it does then. Try a new cord and if that doesnt work try pluging into a diffrent monitor or tv with hdmi.

    Do you have the R1?

Please describe in detail. What applications are you using when this problem occur? is it random or periodic? Is the laptop on battery mode or AC power? What kind of hdmi cable are you using? what is the cable version? there are chances of botched display if cable version is less then the hdmi version of tv/monitor which is usually 1.3b in slightly older sets and 1.4 in new tv/monitor

try reinstalling nvidia graphics driver and see if that sorts it out

I'm using a 25 Foot hdmi cable I got, and have just updated to the latest graphics. I seemed to get around it though. I had to switch the resolution to 1920x1080i instead of p. No worries still looked great. Thanks for the replys :)
