I was looking at the M14x on the USA site and according to the site if you want the HD 1600x900 screen, the computer is non-configurable.

However, on the UK site you can add the HD screen as an option, aswell as being able to configure the other aspects of the computer.

For me this is a deal breaker, I want the M14x in Nebula Red with the I7 2720qm AND the HD screen.

Anyone know why this is? Or when/if it will be changed back?

Also on a side note, can you use the display port and the HDMI port at the same time? For 3 screen awesomeness!

    Thanks
    Sam

You might have clicked on the "quick ship" version on the US site. Quick Ship versions ship quickly because the configuration is pre-set. Try going into the base configuration, it should all be upgradable.

    NP!
Missed this earlier. For gaming, I don't think it's possible. Nvidia's answer to ATI/AMD's Eyefinity is called 3D Vision Surround, but it is very limited in what GPUs support it. All of the below GPUs are desktop models, not the mobile variants.

    System Requirements

Not sure if it's possible to just have 3 monitors for normal 2D/desktop operation though. I don't currently own an M14x to try it out (nor do I have that many spare monitors other than at the office!) Maybe?

I can confirm this - the option you chose must be the one which gives you the 900p screen and 6GB ram, right? or the third option with the Wireless HD whatever? If you select the first config, its completely configurable, so you can get your Nebula Red and 2720QM!
