    Hey all,

I have been doing extensive research in the past few weeks about the Alienware M14x laptop. I am just looking for some advice and confirmation that this is the right laptop for me.

I turn 20 on march 5, I am a student in college, and I love video games. I especially like to play rpgs, Rts, and maybe some MMO's. I also enjoy downloading music and the other typical college student things that I will be doing with my laptop. I play videogames pretty much everyday. I am looking for a good amount of FPS, I want games to be able to be played on high settings smoothly for some years to come. I have walked through the Dell website and customized my build. Any advice? Thanks in advance for any tips and advice

If you wanna play games on high settings for years to come, you might wanna look at the m17x because its more upgrade-able. ;)

Yes i was looking at the M17x initially, but it is a little to big for me to be lugging it around. Also, i am paying for college out of pocket, so I think the M17x might be out of my price range

Power and portability are good. It looks great too.
But maxing out games for years to come your def better with anther Laptop. Gt555m is an ok card. Just don't expect Hugh setting smoothly without plenty of tweaking.
