Hey all,
I have an Alienware M14x that have nonfunctional WASD keys. Essentially, I replaced my keyboard because the original's "D" button stopped working altogether (and as you can guess, that's pretty essential to gaming). So when I replaced my keyboard, every button works perfectly other than the WASD keys. Does anyone have any sort of insight or advice they can give so that I'm not forever doomed to using an external keyboard for a laptop?
Thanks!

Keyboard is faulty - return for replacement. I presume it was purchased on eBay and this is really common - ebay sellers get the returns from dell and the other manufacturers and very rarely test them properly before reselling.

You should be able to buy one directly from dell - just phone up with your service tag and explain you need to purchase a new keyboard.

"Your system hardware is no longer supported. We recommend checking out with a 3rd party reseller for parts and service for your system."
Any ideas? -
Just a thought - but does the old keyboard still work with the exception of the D key?
Assuming it does you'll have to try another one from ebay unfortunately. -
Hey guys. I am also having the same problem. But on my original keyboard most buttons were broken but ive had it for a couple of years now. Ive bought a new keyboard for it to replace but the letters WASD also dont work. But the other ones that didnt, do work now. Anybody got the soulution yet? Thanks!
