    Hi guys,

    I'm new here so I hope this hasn't been asked before but I recently purchased an M14X R1. I have the i7 2670QM & GT555m config.

I have the 1366x768 res panel and have it set at that native res in both windows config and the Nvidia Control Panel.

I have an odd issue with the machine though. About 60% to 70% of the times when I boot up it boots in 1024x768 or even 800x600.

When I then re-boot, it will boot to the desktop in the correct res (1366x768)

I've updated the HD3000 drivers from Intel and re-installed Nvidia 301.42 twice but the issue persists.

It get's even stranger, after it boots in the wrong res, when I enter Windows config and try to change back to the native 1366x768 it won't let me. The screen just turns black after I press OK and I have to shutdown by way of the powerbutton to escape.

When I try to change it through the Nvidia Control Panel it WILL let me change it and things work fine.

I'm completely at a loss here as to what could be the cause of this ???

Having to reboot constantly is a nuissance and any help would be greatly appreciated !

    Thanx

It definitely seems like a software problem. Have you had this issue since the beginning? If not, you may need to do an AlienRespawn.
