Ok, I just received my M14x yesterday so I play around with the stock software that came with it.

First, I uninstall the Nero that bundled with it.
Then I saw there's a "SyncUP" application which also provided by Nero, so I uninstalled.

After that the Stage remote required me to update so I updated it, however I can't use it even I updated it already.
The unusable means even I double click the icon, click the application = nothing happen. I right clicked the icon and it shows "Run Setup", "Check update", "Android stage application" and "Quit".

Also google and found that SyncUp is together with Stage, so not sure by uninstalling it will affect Stage remote or not.

So wanna ask that what does Stage remote do and is it ok that I uninstall it? Thanks.
