My M14x r2 has all of a sudden stopped charging, after plugin in and plugin out the power cord several times it starts charging but stops charging after a while. I have tried updating bios (A11) and run dell diagnostics but nothing seams to work.

This has already been discussed a few times, so I'll just quote Luis Pardo here:

If you're already on A11 you'll need to find a smaller screw driver to remove the bottom cover and try a power drain (Remove the battery and AC adaper, press and hold power buton for 30-45 seconds, reconnect both and attempt to power on).

I hope this works for you, if not, try searching the forum

If that doesn't do it send me a private message and I'll look into it.

I have tried this method before and it works for a week or so and then it gets back to "not charging" :(

Have a look in your BIOS and see what model Adaptor is listed. It should be "150w Dell/Alienware Adapter"

If it shows up as anything else, then the battery won't charge. There is a small chip in the adapter that indicates what model it is, and I've actually seen this chip die, causing what looks like a battery issue, when really its an adapter issue.

Also, if you are not on A11 BIOS you should flash it.

Its 100% the charger. If you get those warnings, the battery won't charge. Call Dell immediately to get a new one.
