Anyone else getting low battery life? Power settings - Power saver mode, screen dimmed all the way down, wifi on, wwan off, alienfx off. Only able to get 3:30 battery life. Maybe my battery have some dead cells?

That's what the little timer in the taskbar says, or that's what you're actually getting?

And what are you doing during this 3 hours?

Sucks. I am on Balanced, AlienFX on, wifi on, wwan off, bluetooth disabled, screen dimmed and I can get 4-4.5 hours. Just browsing and homework though, PDFs and Docs and such. Nothing like CAD or gaming.

Or you could wait and see how much time you actually get on battery. That timer is not always accurate, and it takes some time to calibrate.

Turn off bluetooth if you're not using it, that will likely help.

Download and install BatteryBar, it's free (or paid for if you want to have some extra features) and over time is far more accurate than the one in Windows (because it stores a history of your battery usage, and some estimation of course based on the history).
