    Hi guys,

I just took my M14x R2 through the airport etc .
Now I'm at my destination, and my laptop is buzzing.
The buzzing noise only happens when there is no pressure being put against the top or right side of the laptop.
Meaning that when I take my hands off of the keyboard, the buzzing starts.

I have noticed that the right side of the laptop (with the cd drive) is a bit loose - the plastic side piece doesn't fit tightly to the rubberized top (where my hands rest).
When I push on that side piece, I can tell that it's not perfectly fit (it wiggles). The noise goes away the quickest when I just press on that piece.
So, is this a case where the vibration could really be the lose part of the side? Has anyone else experienced this? The other side piece (left) fits well and that one doesn't cancel out the noise when I press on it.

    Thanks

Looking at your keyboard, the right lower section is your optical drive and hard drive. The upper right side is your memory and memory cover.

Do you have a disc in your optical drive?

Does pushing on the top right or lower right quiet the "buzz"?

well the buzzing stopped for the moment. But when it was buzzing, pushing on anything on the right side of the computer (especially the side panel where the optical drive is located) would quiet the noise. And no, I don't have a cd in the drive.
