Currently have the R2 running 6gb 1600MHZ. I am a casual user with a few gaming here and there but I like to have nice and fast things.

I have already upgraded and added a SSD and placed the 500gb HD in a drive caddy.

Should I upgrade the memory? Would I notice a slight difference?

I can get a kit on amazon for $67 shipped.

    thanks in advance

If you don't run multiple programs at the same time, I would say that 6GB should be more than enough. But then again $67 isn't a bad deal for an 8GB kit. Memory is cheap these days. If you've got a hole burning in your pocket, go for it! hehe

If I were to upgrade though, I would probably go the distance and up my M14x RAM to 16GB. This is for when I may run VM instances on the laptop.

Yeah I don't run any resource heavy programs. I guess I was being greedy. I'll stick with the 6gb.

Going to save the money for a new shotgun! haha
