you get the sandy bridge pnp kind? If you didn't you need to set it in bios. Or if you have the 2630 i7 cpu.

If you have a 2360qm processor, it cant handle 1600mhz ram. I really dont know why dell made it that way. It's basically a trick. If you don't believe me, here's the link. http://www.intel.com/consumer/products/processors/specifications.htm?proc=52219

I bought a quick ship model where i couldnt configure anything. But they included 1600mhz ram with the 2630qm and acted like i was getting better ram for a discount. Not taking into account that it cant run 1600mhz ram. Im not mad at all, but kinda shady to do that imo.

If you can, return your ram, because you cant use the 1600mhz ram if you have the intel core i7 2630qm. I'd love for my computer to have the hyperX ram if it could run 1600mhz, the blue heatspreader looks sexy too.

That's actually 100% wrong. When you boot your computer press F2 while the alien head is on the screen then go to advanced I think it is and enable overclocking. Then go down to the ram and make it so you can edit the Ram settings and set it to 1600 from 1333 and leave everything else default. The 2630 i7 can run at 1600 it's just set at 1333 by default.

Now the 2630 i7 can't do another over 1600, where as the 2720 can do 1866.

Hey guys I changed it to 1600 in the bios but CPUz is still showing it at running at 1333. Do i need to change the XMP profile in the bios or leave it at default? Am I doing something wrong here?
