    I tried this with the m14x, but I'm having issues with my write without rst. but read is good 500+ but write was like 10+

    From your sig looks like you went to the Crucial, I may just go with the Vertex3 MI, seems to be a little faster than the Hyper X 120GB and not much more money

    yah I sticked with my crucial actually getting SATA III speed and seem more stable

    If you are asking about SSD in general, I have the SSD offered by Alienware (the one you choose on their website) and despite its very small capacity I do not have any of the heat problems that some reviews report using the standard larger hard drives. Some reviews have complained about the laptop heating up in the area where the hard drive is located during gaming but mine is perfectly fine. So smaller capacity is the only reason not to get an SSD.
