When i ordered my laptop I got the basic intel wireless card. here the card is 64.99 free shipping campared to the 80.00 upgrade from dell. is it really worth this for the card. thinking about buyting this and installing it myself. what do you think?

I thought the m14x only have 2 antennas. The n1102 is only $35.
-
how does the 1102 compare to the 1103 and the iltell wireless link 1000? and why would dell sell it for the m14x if it isn't compitable?
-
1102 = 2 antennas = 300mbps
1103 = 3 antennas = 450mbps
3 antennas option is not open to all regions. e.g. Europe only get 2 antennas. You can install the third one yourself which involves tearing the screen apart. So it is not really a problem of compatibility -
do all m14x shipped in us have the 3 antennas or just the ones ordered with the 1103 pre installed?

I'm thinking about ordering the M14x and I'll just order it with the standard wifi card and order the Killer 1102 from avadirect.

I took an antenna out of my old studio laptop the other day and put it in my m14x. haven't tested it yet but hope i get to soon.

You can get the killer 1102 for 45 dollars on ebay. I think I'd be more worth it to do that. The stock wireless card, the wifilink 1000, is horrible and is giving me problems. I'm going buy the 6250 from ebay for around 20 dollars. I heard that it's a great card, so maybe you can try buying that instead. And I wouldnt worry about 2 vs 3 antennae, My router connection only allows up to 150 Mbps anyway.
