    Hi all,

I am currently running a X25-M G2 160GB on my m11x R2. Struggling if I should put the X25 into m14x when I get the machine, or sell it + some money for a Vertex 3? Any advise would be appreciated.

Im waiting for the vertex 3 to drop in price. I have a vertex 2 right now. If you could afford the 500 dollar vertex 3 plus markup for low stock do it. The 240 vertex 3 is actually the fastest ssd on the market right now. Faster than the 120gb vertex 3. But I have a feeling the more sandforce 2000 series come out the more the price will drop. As nice as it is if you already have an x25 I would keep it for now. Unless money is no object than definitely do it.

It really isn't worth it, as far as I'm concerned. I know that I personally will be using my Vertex 2 - I'd encourage you to keep your X25.

Thanks guys, seems like keeping the X25-M is the way to go. I have a fabulous NAS at home so storage is no issue at all. :D

Once the Vertex 3 is to under 400 that is when I would personally buy it already having an ssd, if I didnt I would buy it, so I think you are making a good choice.
