I was not looking to replace my laptop with the ones available on the market today. I don't see any benefit for my personal use case. I decided to pick up 16GB RAM from Amazon for $50.98 and get a fresh battery from Dell for $60. Did the install myself and went really smooth. Next upgrade might be to go from 256GB SSD to 500GB SSD. I got the battery direct from Dell and it comes with 90 day warranty and it is a SIMPLO battery - SMP. My original battery was Samsung. I called Dell and they offered me 10% off or $25 coupon. I took the coupon and plan to buy a game with it.

So I upgraded the hard drive by taking advantage of the mSata slot and purchasing a 256gb mSata SSD to run in raid 0 with my SATA III drive. I am getting like 822 MB/s read and 508 MB/s write
