Well I had a couple extra antennas sitting around and decided I would install it in my M14x since dell is retarded and sells 1103 killer wireless cards, but only with two antennas.

The install itself was a pain. It's not hard to take everything apart, but a couple of things were a pain. The antenna I used had a cable that was about 2 inches too short to route with the other wires, so I had to run it over the top of the motherboard. Cleaning the screen and plastic cover was a painful experience. I still see a speck or two of dust behind the cover, and that makes me sad.

Wireless performance is actually quite a bit better. I'm really surprised at the amount of wireless connections I see now. I'm really not too sure why this is, perhaps dell had the wrong antennas connected to begin with...

Overall, I would never do this again. It's not hard, just takes a couple hours, but I don't think it's really worth it.

Sadly I didn't take any pics, so a guide is out of the question, I can answer any other questions however.

Taking the screen apart is actually very easy, but I do not know how much better the reception would be if you did this.
